Christmas

If you are wanting to invest the best $30 of your life, may I suggest "The Elf on the Shelf". I overheard a lady talking about this while getting a pedicure. My parents found it on the Internet and it truly is the best investment. Long story short, you by this package of an elf and book that explains the story. You're able to give your elf a name, ours is Herbert. Herbert listens to you during the day and at night, "flies" back to the North Pole to visit Santa and report. You know that he "leaves" because when you wake up in the morning he is in a new spot! The kids are told in the story to not touch him, or else he loses his "special flying powers".

There are numerous stories about Herbert quickly stopping any problems we have with Abbi misbehaving (they don't call it terrible twos for nothing). My favorite story is she was being ugly to me DURING sacrament meeting and throwing a fit. I promptly marched her out into the foyer and told her that Herbert could hear her being naughty at church. To which she quickly wiped her tears and calmly replied, "I'm okay. I'm not throwing a fit." And that was that!

We took the girls to get their picture with Santa.

Here's Santa dropping off presents Christmas Eve!

Christmas morning:

We had a nice, calm, inexpensive Christmas! We spent Christmas at my parents and then drove up to Blanding the next day and spent a few days with Josh's family!

Kenna Turns ONE!!

On January 10th, our sweet Kenna turned ONE! I can't believe my baby is ONE!! YIKES! Time for another, just kidding, kinda, but here's some pictures from her b-day! Kennadee is one of the happiest kid to be around! Her cute little personality is becoming more and more apparent each day, as well as how smart she is!! She tends to get cranky if her diaper needs changing, needs a nap, but you do not want to cross her path if she is HUNGRY!! We refer to her as the "IN-KENNA-IBLE HULK" because she gets really angry and getting her food as quickly as possible is the key to calming her down. She loves her older sister and tries to mimic everything Abbi does! She also has become quick at disappearing up the stairs or playing in the bathroom! The best thing is she still likes to snuggle and can make you smile by just seeing her! Coming home to her smile is one of the best parts of my day! We just love you to pieces Kennadee!
